This time around I only put in two images in the Children Category… got Gold for both.
Those paying attention will notice these formed part of my successful Associate Panel submission earlier this year.
This week the Irish Professional Photographers Association held it’s latest round of judging for their awards programe.
Winning images are awarded Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond. It’s a big acheivement to receive any award and a Gold is a hard thing to get but the Diamond’s are rare and hard to acheive.
I’m delighted to announce that I got my first Diamond Award in the Classic Portrait Category. It’s wonderful to get a Diamond and being a ‘first’ makes it extra special.
Between the Classic Portrait, Bridal and Children’s Portrait Category I received a total of 10 Gold’s and one Diamond.

After 2 days and 124 portraits we have raised a total of €3340! There are two more smaller events to do so we’re hoping to make it to the 4k mark! Thanks again to everyone who helped maked this a very special couple of days.

Ethan is a friend of my son (Alex) and for Christmas we thought we’d surprise his mummy with a portrait…
So in he came… like a hurricane/tazmanian devil…..! Managed to get one good shot and this was it.

The Murtagh Family from Athlone have just viewed their family pictures.
They all wore black t-shirts which worked really well for these guys against a dark background.
We had a much needed family break in Galway. The weather was awful but we made the most of the lovely beaches in-between the showers!

Fantastic Light at this time of year and being in-between showers meant it was that little bit more dramatic!

Believe it or not, Christmas is fast approaching, and judging by last years demand we are opening Sundays for appointments for the month of November and December. Ring now for an appointment as the dates fill up quickly. The Studio is also open late on Thursdays.
