Killinure Lake had frozen over… I estimate around 4 inches thick…. It was the morning after freezing fog at -8C and a deep frost was on every branch of every tree… It was as if one giant white spray can had been used on the land…
I went out to the Wineport Lodge and walked out onto the Jetty. The jetty was frozen in the ice and wasn’t moving! It was dead quiet except for the occasional ‘ping’ of the ice moving/cracking on the lake.
Beautiful clear day… if only someone were getting married, what day to remember!
